We are looking to hire a Manager Purchasing - Prod Line Steering to join our team at Querétaro, El Marqués.

Position Summary

Manage Program Purchasing activities, launch activities, and improvement for the CVS Steering product line. This includes leading cross functional teams to achieve purchasing and operational goals. Drive material savings to optimize cost base, in collaboration with Commodity, VMT, Engineering and Plant teams, leveraging business awards and growth (bundled sourcing, GCS), with change windows. Drive core BOM / product development, working collaboratively with Engineering, Commodity Purchasing and VMT (Value Mgmt Team) to ensure optimized alignment of part family strategies and cost drivers are realized. Lead the Purchasing portion of CQA and Bid-Win process, providing costed BOM and supply chain indications based on existing product and core BOM development activities Be responsible for achieving the BOM costs target in terms of customer quotation and project roll-out phase.  Support interaction with Global Commodity Purchasing and any escalation management, as well as supporting cost reduction.  Represent Purchasing at various reviews, including GDPEP, Monthly Status reviews etc.  Oversee the purchasing performance achievement for the running projects in regards of cost down ideas and pushing to the implementation. Various supporting activities relating to material management in the product line Support upper management for overall project reporting. Lead and manage a regional team’s daily activities. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead change and pricing management including technology changes, inflation indexation and margin improvement.
• Negotiate and discuss changes based on technical design background with suppliers
• Develop  new suppliers for business​​​​​​.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of program purchasing experience including managerial/leadership experience

• Previous experience in automotive industry, commercial vehicle industry knowledge preferred
• Experience in working at large organizations with global scope purchasing responsibilities.
• Consistent track record in managing and negotiating with suppliers in different regions of the world.
• Ability to manage complex workload and to provide leadership and direction to others.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Cross Functional experience and knowledge preferred
• Six Sigma certification preferred
