Specialist IT Analyst - Unified Communication

 Your Tasks:  

 

  • The Digital Workplace Analyst – Unified Communication is responsible for the implementation and support of Unified Communication (UC) solutions for the ZF Group. He provides technical guidance in the areas of UC-tools, -software, and -services, as well as operates ZF's UC systems, to support and fulfil the requirements of internal and external customers worldwide.
  • Evaluation and documentation of telephone systems at specific areas of the company. Development of a demand driven transition plan to implement Microsoft Teams Phone System at the assigned locations/division.
  • Execution of the transition plan within time and budget, integrated into a global project team and in cooperation with external service providers. Provide day-to-day technical guidance and support, to ensure that defined UC service- and quality-SLAs are met at the assigned locations and globally within ZF-Group. Adhere to and ensure compliance with ZF standard processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Plan and support MS Teams Phone system implementations and PBX replacement projects in close relation with global IT teams, local IT staff, and external service providers. Oversee and facilitate hardware and/or software installations/deployments regarding the UC services. Keep internal service documentations up to date. Analyse, troubleshoot and solve support tickets related to ZFs UC systems, and/or support external service providers in the troubleshooting process. Serve as a technical escalation point for second-level support regarding UC services.
  • Monitor service quality and do/initiate a root cause analysis if quality is decreasing. Assist team lead, service responsible and UC-Manager with the evaluation, development, rollout planning, and implementation strategies for global UC solutions. Perform market analysis and advanced evaluation of new UC- specific technologies. Assist team lead, service responsible and UC-Manager in service- and provider management processes regarding UC solutions. Support the lifecycle and capacity management processes regarding UC and telecommunication solutions. Perform other duties withing the Digital Workplace area as assigned. 

 

 

 

 

 

Your Profile:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience in the IT field encompassing a majority of the following areas - Microsoft Skype/Teams or other UC/telecommunication systems, networking, and/or IT project management in the listed areas.2+ years of experience providing customer support and resolution of technical issues.ITIL®, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft or related Information Systems certifications
  • Experience with implementing and operating Microsoft UC solutions (Teams/Skype) and/or UC solution of other brands. Solid knowledge about Microsoft's UC system architecture, QoS, SIP, WebRTC, Audio/Video codecs, but also about O365 and AZURE. Experience in collaboration and direction of third-party service providers.
  • Working knowledge of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking & knowledge of enterprise-level IT environments. 
  • Proven analytical abilities and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment. Ability/Willingness to work within a global distributed team and to interface with other cross-functional/international ZF teams, external service providers, and all levels of personnel and management.
  • Proficient with oral and written English. Willingness/ability to travel up to 20% (both domestic and international). Willingness to take part in ZFs internal oncall-process, and to meet flexible schedule arrangements per customer requirements (i.e. off-shifts). Willingness to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
