TITLE: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (Sr. Engineer)

FUNCTION/BUSINESS UNIT/ENTERPRISE:  Product Engineering

REPORTING TO:     

Scope and Impact of the Position in the Organization:

The product Engineer handles all aspects involved in the development of our quality products, suspension and steering for ZF aftermarket. This role is very critical to our extreme growth and the ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer with a good product knowledge, well organized, and familiar with Passenger Car parts/automotive product development and is familiar with the intricacies of a fast-paced environment, have a powerful desire for growth and be a great communicator.
 

Desired Specific Experience

1. 3 to 6 years of Experience in product development in Passenger car Steering & Suspension parts
2. Review supplier drawings and specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product.
3. Support other members of the Engineering department, check design work to verify layout, fit, form, function, materials, specifications, and other details/documents as required.
4. Ensure DVP test, Analysis & release Test Reports / Approval documents as per NPI project timeline.
5. Resolving field failure concerns and current product improvement.
6. Benchmarking / Reverse Engineering of OE Parts / Chassis & Suspension components.
7. Able to Conduct Design reviews with supplier & freeze product design.
8. Creating technical guidelines / technical specification / product specific guidelines.
9. Experience in Product life cycle management tools and change management.
10. Incredibly good documentation skills

1. Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
2. Ability to effectively work as part of a team with demonstrated leadership skills.
3. Organizational skills and the ability to manage several different tasks/projects simultaneously.
4. Ability to communicate across the organization and lead presentations.

Education and Experience:

• B.E (Mechanical engineering)

Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience working in Auto CAD/ Creo software will be an added advantage.
