<span 72="">We are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our Core Engineering Team in Ponte de Lima, Portugal

<span 72="" lang="EN-US">Main accountabilities, responsabilities and deliverables:

• <span 72="">Development of new textile fabrics, taking into account the interaction with other airbag components and the overall restraint system;
• <span 72="">Close cooperation with design department, testing, production, purchasing, sales
• <span 72="">Coordination of development activities at the supplier;
• <span 72="">Technical contact person for airbags, their equipment, assembly and use by the customer;
• <span 72="">Responsibility for the textile components of the airbag module in interdisciplinary project teams;
• <span 72="">Planning and analysis of experiments and computer-aided simulation with the relevant departments;
• <span 72="">Development of product improvements and creation of specifications.

<span 72="" lang="EN-US">Required skills and experience / main competences:

• <span 72="">Textile engineer or engineering degree with comparable knowledge;
• <span 72="">In-depth knowledge in the field of technical fabrics or yarns and their manufacturing processes;
• <span 72="">Knowledge of design methodology, structural and material mechanics;
• <span 72="">Professional experience in the automotive supply industry is an advantage;
• <span 72="">Goal-oriented way of working, high team oriented and communication skills;
• <span 72="">Very good English and preferable German language skills.
