Become an Embedded Linux Developer in ZF and develop firmware for ZF Rescue Connect Solution! ZF Rescue Connect is an IoT cloud-based Digital Solution for Emergency Services.

ZF Rescue Connect networks and digitizes all emergency and rescue services in Europe with the latest connectivity solutions. This product connects data from all the rescue services like fire departments, ambulance or other emergency organizations to support emergency management and decision-makers not only in dealing with everyday tasks, but also in the event of large-scale and mass-casualty incidents.


What will be your key role? You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software for embedded systems that interact with cloud platforms.


What you can look forward to as Embedded Linux Developer:

  • Design, development and optimization of innovative Embedded Linux IoT solu-tions
  • Integration of components into our em-bedded Linux build system
  • Ensure secure and reliable data transmis-sion from edge devices to cloud plat-forms
  • Test and commissioning of the devel-oped software in a system context
  • Use existing hardware in innovative ways to solve problems
  • Search and selection of potential future HW platforms


Your profile:

  • Proficiency in Debian packaging and system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and package management.
  • Familiarity with Debian tools (dpkg, apt, etc.).
  • Experience with open-source development and version control (Git).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Interest in mechatronic system and basic knowledge of measurement and control technology are appreciated
  • English is mandatory, additional lan-guages (e.g. German) are advantageous
