Plant Manager

We are looking to hire a plant manager to join our team at Monterrey.

 

Responsibilities:

 

•  Implement overall short term and long-term business strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility achieves yearly operating plans and supports the Electronics and ADAS divisional performance.

•  Development of the Operational and Strategic Business Plan (OP-SP) for presentation to divisional leadership, encompassing investment, product strategy and resource planning to deliver MPBT expectations.

•  Deploy strong financial and budgetary analysis in all decision-making around production planning, overtime, facilities and capital investment.  Exploit cost saving opportunities where possible.

•  Foster positive employee involvement by ensuring clear and consistent communication at all levels, through all hands, management briefings and employee council meetings.

•  Give clear direction by setting challenging and attainable objectives for managers and supervisors that are in line with the attainment of the annual operating plan.

•  Work with functional managers and supervisors to plan and allocate staff, materials, and support services to achieve desired output volumes at the lowest cost and highest quality level.

•  Monitor performance of KPI’s ensuring improvement is being made and corrective actions plans are in place and adhered to as required for any deviations to business plan.

•  Clear involvement in process changes and new product introduction to ensure flawless launch of both existing products and new technology/products into the plant.

•  Encourage and take responsibility for good adherence to continuous improvement activities and 5S across the plant.  Ensuring regular reviews with project champions and support team members.

•  Ensure good employee relations throughout plant and to maintain culture of positive climate.

•  Exercise high standards of health and safety, including Environmental Safety Awareness through strong leadership and behavioral based safety culture

•  To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Company

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business related field required.
  • 5+ years previous experience of working in an automotive, manufacturing environment in a similar role and plant size in terms of both people and revenue.
  • Experience working in an automotive electronics plant.
  • Self motivated
  • Problem solving and analytical capability.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
