To strengthen our market intelligence team in the region APAC, we are looking for a market data analyst / market research specialist with focus towards the Automotive Aftermarket. Your research focus will be around the strong growing markets in ASEAN, but you will also support other global and regional APAC activities.

Your role:

  • Identification of market trends in the automotive aftermarket in ASEAN and APAC.
  • Estimation of current & future market growth & demands for different spare parts & services in the Automotive Aftermarket including the outlook of vehicle technology developments in the region. Evaluate the market size development and align the results with ASEAN stakeholders.
  • Study and collect key competitor information for ASEAN area.
  • Create transparency and update developments within the distributions structure value chain of automotive parts (distributors, garages, e-commerce market places…)
  • Identify automotive fleets and fleets’ demands in the region
  • Design and implementation of digital data reportings (e.g. Power BI) 
  • Participate and support in general market intelligence tasks & functions (e.g. Newsletters, MI data portal introductions, market trend & competitor talks..)
  • Establish market intelligence expertise network in the region (e.g. access to association and industry events)
  • Market research for ASEAN region (both primary and secondary)
  • Educate and promote MI360 platform portal to ASEAN stakeholders
  • Other regional/global project support for ASEAN 

Your profile:

  • Graduate with minimum degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or comparable field of study.
  • 1- 2 years of professional experience in the field of market analysis related to the automotive environment; ideally in the field of Automotive Aftermarket
  • Proficient presentation & BI tool skills and basic database knowledge (MS Office; Power BI or Tableau, basics in SQL, VBA, MS Access of advantage)
  • Very good English communication skills and a structured, independent way of working, analytical thinking, affinity for numbers as well as the ability to work in a team are required.
  • Enthusiasm for automobiles desirable
