We are looking for a data scientist for our global Data Analytics team at ZF Industrial Technology Division which is a global leader for driveline technology for industrial application domains like Off-Highway Systems, Wind Power Technology and Test Systems for on- and off-road mobility, at location Passau, Germany.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Design, development and maintenance of data analytics products and services with a focus on test system analytics
  • Responsibility for realization of data analytics projects and management of client’s expectations following the agile CRISP-DM methodology 
  • Application of machine learning techniques and data modeling approaches to grant data-driven insights (e.g., trends, anomalies, patterns) for our customers   
  • Support in industrialization of solutions in existing system landscapes (private and public cloud) 
  • Collaboration with customers as well as domain experts within ZF Group

Your profile: 

  • Degree in a relevant field like computer science, statistics, mathematics or similar
  • 2+ years professional experience in application of machine learning techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, signal processing) to engineering and/or business problems 
  • Programming and data querying skills (e.g., Python, SQL) and experience in data analytics tools and platforms for modeling and visualization (e.g., Knime, PowerBI, Databricks)
  • Experience with software development standards (e.g., CI/CD) and understanding of industrialization of analytics solutions 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills as well as passion for data and machine learning
