Reporting line
- Direct reporting line to North America Manufacturing/Operations Leader
Mission
- Contribute and connect Site to company’s Vision, Mission & Values;
- Support Company Strategic pillars: Innovation & Technology Leadership, Globalization & Excellence in Execution;
- Establish and develop Site Mission, Vision and Strategy aligned with the ZF’s Operating System (WOS) and backboned by Six Sigma Lean principles;
- Permanent and ongoing focus on Customer Satisfaction based on Quality, Deliveries and Productivity
- Define clear actions on Site Safety, Health and Environment as well as on Motivation and Communication with employees;
- Organize and interface with different Business Units, Support Functions aligning the business priorities
- Create and mature appropriate environment to support change and transformation from conventional / traditional to a Lean site (plant wide)
- Establish stretch targets, align Site objectives and cascade down to individual objectives
- Inspirational Leader, who refuses complacency and drives teams towards excellence in execution
Strategic Objectives
- Define the Site key “business problems” and focus the team on addressing those problems with the use of timely and effective action plans;
- Deliver and execute the plan to achieve AOP (Annual Operating Plan) (financial results, cash & capital) and Forecasts;
- Follow up on execution and take responsibilities to drive actions to secure the GGM (Group Gross Margin);
- Able to grasp the “big picture” and identify the “gap” between current status;
- Understand and set priorities to Quality, Safety, Volumes, Costs, Inventory/capital, Delivery and Motivation;
- Create strategic implementation plan to maximize resources and the organization with focus on operational excellence through Six Sigma Lean;
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement and Total Employee Involvement;
- Propose and execute action plan in order to remove blocks, follow up, develop low cost solutions and escalate main issues rapidly;
- Communicate simply, concisely and frequently with BU’s, Function, Customers and Employees;
- Able to maintain the energy, coach teams, develop Talents and inspire others. Establish good Union /Labor relations;
- Realize good results and reliable forecast – Anticipate.
- Interact with local community in which the site is located and define actions that contribute to attract talents.
- Respect and help the deployment of company’s Code of Conduct

- Customer Satisfaction (Quality, Delivery, Costs, Safety, Motivation)
- Strict compliances to policies and legislation (internal & external)
- Daily follow up of shop floor performance (QCDM) and sales performance
- Respect commitments to Top Management, Customers, Organization, Employees
- Best practices sharing and standardization between Value Streams
- People Management (safety, succession plan, objectives setting, recognition and reward, continuous feedback, training & development, performance management)
Profile / Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Six Sigma Lean (minimum Green Belt) & Quality knowledge / experience
- Project Management
- Strong Leadership & Communication competencies
- Enthusiastic & open minded
- Business Acumen
- Listening and motivation skills
- Capacity to deal and negotiate in different levels of the organization
- Result driven and continuous improvement approach
- Facilitator and able to train, teach and coach others
- Fluent in English
