Supply Chain Engineer

About the Team:

Join an international Supply Chain Management team shaping efficient, data-driven logistics across ZF plants in Eastern Europe. You will work closely with project, plant and corporate functions to bring new products into series production and improve end-to-end supply chains. The team combines industrialization expertise, digital tools and lean logistics to turn complex challenges into practical solutions. This role offers broad exposure, meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to grow within a global technology environment.

What you can look forward to as Supply Chain Engineer:

• Introduce, implement and support standardized supply chain processes in line with ZF standards, including SAP Business Master Solution, ZF Production Excellence System and DMP.
• Lead supply chain industrialization sub-projects through the GDPEP 4.0 process into series production, using cPlace for project management.
• Provide logistics support during acquisition and project phases, including holistic logistics cost calculations based on the Total Cost of Ownership approach and SWAT.
• Coordinate customer and supplier topics across the supply chain together with Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Process Engineering and other cross-functional partners.
• Define and integrate intralogistics processes, with a focus on smart automation solutions such as AGVs and AMRs.
• Analyze and evaluate global end-to-end supply chains, perform value stream mapping and further develop ZF corporate data solutions.
• Plan lean material-flow concepts and coordinate project reporting standards, deliverables and key performance indicators.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, packaging concepts, global footprint initiatives and local-for-local supply chain strategies.

Your profile as Supply Chain Engineer:

• University degree in a technical or business-related field, ideally with a focus on operations, global supply chain management or logistics.
• Initial practical experience in comparable supply chain or production role, preferably within the automotive industry as well as experience in day-to-day operations logistics processes.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and Industry 4.0 solutions, combined with Power BI skills and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and projects, including strong coordination skills.
• Resilience, curiosity and willingness to learn beyond your own area of expertise.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills, business-fluent English and willingness to travel between ZF plants in Eastern Europe.

Monthly wage from 2 000 € (including basic wage component *, premiums, bonuses). The salary depends on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
