Senior Supply Chain Allocation Analyst

Position Summary: The Senior Supply Chain Allocation Analyst is responsible for analyzing the supply of purchased parts and customer demand data across global operations, understanding and interpreting results of supply constraint and demand scenarios, and communicating results across internal teams.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze part allocation results using data and analysis methods and evaluate effects at customer, product, and plant level.
  • Apply SCM knowledge to interpret results from allocation analysis and prepare findings for presentation and communicate to management teams and offer insights and suggestions.
  • Identify challenges, shortages, and bottlenecks in allocation analysis results.
  • Identify inconsistencies in the allocation database, master data, and reporting methods and align efforts for data harmonization and correction with SCM data team.
  • Gather new requirements from business partners and work with database and data teams to incorporate changes and enhancements.
  • Support database teams with allocation and SCM analytics data models and methods.
  • Support expansion of global SCM analytics capabilities, material requirements and customer demand to support overall supply chain optimization efforts and end to end supply chain planning.
  • Apply SCM knowledge and SCM analytics to support plant operations and data driven actions and improvements.
  • Utilize PowerBI and other advanced analytics tools to analyze and display allocation and other analytical results to end users.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or related field
  • 6 years minimum experience in supply chain related field with emphasis on analytics and material planning
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and data visualization tools (e.g. VBA, PowerBI)
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data and supply chain-related processes with a high attention to detail
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to interface with cross-functional global teams and all levels of personnel and management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred Skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or related field
  • Knowledge of SAP and SAP BW
  • Experience with SQL or other database and data modeling techniques
  • Experience in the Automotive industry
  • German and/or Spanish language skills
