Manager Quality - KAM

Position Summary: The Q-KAM Manager is responsible for the divisional quality interface to the customer, allowing a single point of contact for specified customer related quality topics across Division E. The main goal is to maintain excellent customer satisfaction on a divisional quality level by transforming the voice of the customer into specific actions for the division or respective ZF plant.
 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Lead strategic setup, definition, alignment and control of quality standards, processes, and KPIs for OEM Quality Management
  • Collaborate and Interface with internal teams across Division E (ZF Group Quality KAM organization, Sales KAE, Corporate, Divisional and Local Quality Organization, Development and Project Management, Logistics, etc.), and the customer. 
  • Organize and conduct regular customer meeting cadence up to director level to fully understand the customers’ expectations and requests.
  • Escalation level for problem solving ("multi plant issues“), monitoring introduction of countermeasures, and for field quality issues to identity measure to address OEM escalations and maintain customer relationships.
  • Provide monthly analysis and reporting of customer portal KPI’s and escalations (Green Site), to ensure transparency within the ZF management and derive actions with the respective departments. 
  • Plan, define, monitor, and report work packages with the corresponding timeline and a clear target, especially in the case of topics or ZF plants to fulfil customers expectation and targets.
  • Validate Quality specific customer documents through a ZF database (CuDo) and align requirements with the respective departments within the Quality domain to maintain IATF certification and minimize risk by fulfilling customer requirements in the ZF production plants. 
  • Act as center of competence for customer specific requirements. 
  • Shape and support local customer quality departments by setting common customer facing standards 
  • Determine process safeguarding considering D- and PFMEA and derive recommendations and decisions including communication strategy to both internal and external customers.
  • Resolve bottlenecks and coordinate hard- and software related escalation issues using problem solving methodology in consideration of technical and economic feasibility. 
  • Ensure lessons learned from problem solving process, especially on PPAC issues. 
  • Work on other duties and special projects as it relates to the position and assigned by Q-KAM Manager

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • 6-10+ years advanced, relevant experience
  • Proven project and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong cross functional collaboration and an ability to work in an intercultural environment globally
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong methodical approach
  • Ability to influence and engage at multiple levels within the internal and external organization 
  • Ability to coach and train interdisciplinary teams in problem solving
  • Preventive mindset by independently tracking individual tasks to meet/ exceed customers expectation
  • Pronounced soft skills, enabling success in a multi-cultural work force in an international division with international customers

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in Electronics and/or Automotive industries
  • German and/or Spanish language skills
