Account Manager II

Position Summary: The Account Manager II will lead the overall business relationship with key commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturer accounts. They will establish and implement short-term goals and the long-range strategies to accomplish results meeting company objectives. They will work to effectively grow the business, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability through collaboration with division business units and resources.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer development, growing sales, and market share.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels through close contact with key functional disciplines and decision makers.
  • Establish strategic direction and lead overall customer planning and acquisition activities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in accordance with Divisional and Business Unit/product line objectives.
  • Identify new customer requirements, creating internal visibility and actions to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Organize development of customer quotations/proposals thru CQ Commercial Management approval process. Compile, present, and negotiate prices/LTAs with the key OEM accounts.
  • Contribute to operational and strategic business planning process withBusiness Units and their business/product planning processes.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Understanding of and ability to effectively apply knowledge of business financial metrics to job responsibilities
  • 6-8+ years experience in sales roles in Automotive or Transportation industries. Experience dealing directly with major global OEMs in a supply relationship
  • Demonstrated ability building customer relationships and in sales development, including achievement of first acqisition with new customers
  • A seasoned sales professional, with experience in all aspects of modern customer relationship management
  • An energetic, persuasive, persistent, and results-oriented entrepreneurial orientation
  • Proven success achieving profitable growth, with unwavering dedication to selling and winning
  • Strong target focus showing resilience and tenacity both internally and externally
