Business Development Manager - Tires and Wheels Test Systems

Position Summary: The Account Manager will lead the overall business relationship with key tire manufacturer and testing accounts. They will establish and implement short-term goals and the long-range strategies to accomplish results meeting company objectives. They will effectively grow the business, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability through collaboration with division business units and resources.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer development, growing sales, and market share.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels through close contact with key functional disciplines and decision makers.
  • Establish strategic direction and lead overall customer planning and acquisition activities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in accordance with divisional and business unit and product line objectives.
  • Identify new customer requirements, creating internal visibility and actions to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Organize development of customer quotations and proposals in close cooperation with TS – headquarters.  Compile, present,and negotiate prices with the key OEM and Tier 1 accounts.
  • Responsible for regional operative and strategic planning for BU serving powertrain customers.
  • Contribute to operational and strategic business planning process with volume & price inputs.
  • Maintain oversite of account profitability, with actions to support and improve margins whenever possible.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and overall market conditions to provide predictive intelligence to business unit leaders.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Understanding of and ability to effectively combine technical knowledge with commercial responsibilities
  • 6+ years experience in sales roles in automotive or tire industries in the field of capital equipment
  • Experience dealing directly with major global OEM and Tier 1's for the R&D and End of Line investment segments.
  • Demonstrated ability building customer relationships and in sales development, including achievement of first acqisition with new customers.
