About the role:
To be a successful Product Development Engineer, you should be innovative, and skilled in the design and application of hydraulic brake systems and components. Incorporate industry standards, as well as technical calculations and simulations into the design and have an excellent working knowledge of 3D modeling software.
What you can look forward to:
- Analyzing project specifications to develop design concepts, calculations and layouts required for the hydraulic system.
- Working within the budget to deliver safe and efficient products on time
- Completion of all documentation regarding designs including developing CAD models, engineering prints and BOM’s.
- Experience with 3D CAD system to create preliminary and detailed models and drawings
- Experience with Product Lifetime Management (PLM) software
- Experience with FEA software
- Proficient in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to create manufacturing and assembly drawings as well as perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience in risk analysis and DFMEA
- Responsible for creation of technical specifications for area of responsibility.
- Proposes current and new product innovations to support the creation of invention disclosures.
- Complete Engineering Change Notice (ECN) for release to document control.
- Work with manufacturing and suppliers to develop efficient and cost-effective designs
Your profile:
- Experience in Product Engineering
- Ability to research, interpret, and implement test standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and in a technical manner
- Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
- Ability to research and implement technologies to meet test program requirements
- Ability to collect, organize, summarize and document engineering information
- Knowledge of mechanical design and development of 3D models
- Knowledge of hydraulic theory and system design
- Knowledge of mechatronic/automation design
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) Degree in Engineering
- Fluent in English
