About the Team: We are looking for a Mechanical Designer Intern for our Product Engineering Team.  The Product Engineering Team plays a pivotal role at ZF Off Highway Solutions, as we are the principal design team for the Off Highway hydraulic division. The department is committed to drive innovation into every design by utilizing state of the art design tools.  We are a hard-working, driven, dedicated group who enjoys working in a team environment, consisting of twenty-two team members located in North Mankato focusing on design, applications, and testing. We have five additional design engineers working remotely from Chennai, India. 

What you can look forward to as a Mechanical Design Intern:

•    Assist engineers during product research and development process.
•    Utilize Pro/E CAD to create 3D models of designs and detailed 2D drawings.
•    Perform simple computations and analyses.
•    Generate and process engineering change orders (ECO’s).
•    Assist with building and testing prototypes.
•    Collect and analyze data.

Your Profile as a Mechanical Design Intern:

•    Pursuing a bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•    Basic computer and math skills.
•    Understanding of the Imperial and Metric systems of measurement.
•    Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.

The expected base compensation for this role is $18.50 - $25.00 hourly.  Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
