About the Team

At ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota, Inc., the Operations team ensures efficient production and logistics. Key functions like Shipping, Receiving, Pack Line, and Parts Room maintain the flow of materials and finished goods, supporting just-in-time manufacturing and minimizing downtime. The Supplier Purchasing team strategically sources materials and components, managing supplier relationships and aligning procurement with engineering and production needs. Together, these teams form an integrated logistics and supply chain network, upholding ZF’s commitment to quality and efficiency.

What you can look forward to as Internal Logistics & Supplier Purchasing Supervisor

• Oversee internal logistics functions, managing 12–18 hourly employees.
• Lead supplier purchasing operations, supervising up to 3 salaried employees and hourly interns.
• Ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate daily logistics operations to support production schedules.
• Implement 5S and lean practices to optimize space and improve workflow.
• Support inventory accuracy through counting and reconciliation.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Provide direction, training, and feedback to team members.
• Act as a liaison between departments for cross-functional initiatives.

Your Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3–5 years in supervisory roles within manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, demonstrated leadership, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regular physical activity including standing, sitting, walking, lifting up to 35 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs.), and stair navigation.
• Exposure to both office and manufacturing floor environments.

Expected base compensation: $58,639 to $75,000 annually. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
