Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative is a front office position responsible for communicating with all customers about business needs such as pricing, lead times, new order entry, new product information, application and engineering support, etc. The Customer Service Representative supports the Sales Managers and Key Account Managers by handling various sales and administrative activities as reported here below.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process customer’s inquiries and RFQs; work together with the Application Engineering, Controlling, and Marketing teams to gather all relevant product information to issue a technical–commercial proposal
- Prepare quotations, in coordination with the Sales and Key Account Managers, in response to new customer’s RFQ’s or requests for change in the scope of supply
- Support Sales and Key Account Managers in chasing customers over dues when escalation is required
- Support Sales and Key Account Managers in communication both with the customers and internal ZF (Logistics/ Operations/ Quality/ Service/ Controlling/ RGA etc.)
- Provide the Sales and Key Account Managers with some relevant historical sales data as needed
- Regularly communicate with the customers about commercial topics
- Work with Finance on shipments to customers who have exceeded their credit limit
- Manage some smaller accounts independently regarding pricing, delivery, quality, orders, etc.
- Supporting other functional areas to ensure customer requirements are met
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in Sales and Customer Service related positions
- Excellent computer skills using MS Office applications
- SAP experience preferred
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
