The Production Supervisor, under the direction of the Operations Lead, will primarily be responsible to ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. This position will ensure the effectiveness of employees through strategic hiring, assignment of duties, discipline, and dismissal and will oversee staff to ensure work is being performed according to established standards.

What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor: 

• Supervise and coordinate workers activities by operating process machines, fabrication, assembly, and inspect fiberglass products.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect fiberglass parts and products.
• Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Accountable for the performance and results of a team within specific discipline or function.
• Analyze departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement.
• Ensure decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan
• Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers
• Exercise limited management authority; sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and provide feedback, coaching and formal evaluations.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll and monthly inventory.
• Define team operating standards and ensure essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline.
• Plan the department workload and flow. Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly.
• Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with, and are using, the proper personal protective equipment.
• Oversee compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
• Oversee all manufacturing and processing procedure, the setting of machine or equipment controls, as well as the production and inspection processes.

Your profile as a Production Supervisor: 

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
• Possess a forklift license with at least 1 year of experience.
• Post- secondary education
• Mechanically competent including robotic equipment.
• Working knowledge of the safe handling, storage, and usage of fiberglass chemicals.
• Excellent supervisory attributes and the willingness to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 25 lbs up to 75 lbs correctly, and occasionally bend, twist, and squat
• Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise, below 80 DBA, and perform in a non-climate-controlled environment
