ZF is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled AI Engineering Intern to become part of our new AI team in Monterrey. This position offers the opportunity to dive into the cutting-edge field of artificial intelligence, working on real-world projects that make a tangible impact. The intern will engage in a broad range of activities including: researching, analyzing, designing innovative AI solutions, as well as developing and fine-tuning machine learning models. This role is perfect for a final-year university student who is deeply passionate about NLP, Python, machine learning, and data analysis, and who is eager to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Research and Analysis: Perform in-depth research on cutting-edge AI technologies and methodologies to solve specific challenges in projects. 

• Solution Design: Work collaboratively to design innovative AI solutions that align with project goals and specifications. 

• Development: Code and implement solutions to solve ZF´s real-world challenges. 

• Machine Learning Models: Take charge of training, testing, and fine-tuning machine learning models for optimum performance. 

• NLP Projects: Engage in natural language processing projects, utilizing your knowledge to process and analyze complex data sets. 

• Data Analysis and Feature Engineering: Extract key insights from data and engineer features to improve model accuracy and performance. 

• Dataset Generation: Create and preprocess datasets to train machine learning models, ensuring they are robust and representative. 

• Collaboration: Actively collaborate with team members to deliver superior AI solutions. 

Requirements:

• Education: Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field, with a significant AI component. 

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Python with experience in AI-related libraries (e.g., Pandas, Polars, PyTorch, Keras, etc.). Knowledge of NLP, machine learning models, dataset generation, and feature engineering is essential. 

• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail. 

• Research Ability: Proven capability to conduct comprehensive research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in AI. 

• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the capacity to effectively articulate complex ideas clearly and work in a team setting. 

• Adaptability: Quick to adapt to new technologies and overcome challenges in a dynamic environment. 

• Passion for AI: A genuine enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and technological innovation.
