HiL Test Engineer

ZF is looking to hire a HiL Test Engineer to join our team at our state of the art R&D center located in Monterrey Mexico.

Responsibilities:

Write test cases against Requirement Specifications using Functional Safety Test techniques
Execute test cases per the test specification 
Automate test cases using automation test frame
Setup test infrastructure with Project Team Members, according to agreed validation plan and overall organization test strategy at vehicle and bench level 
Generate metrics and reports to monitor project status
Support debugging and building of internal tools 
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using test set-up 
Perform software updates on Devices Under Test
Perform ECU test activities at bench and provide results to stakeholders for review 
Document issues and engage the appropriate team 
Manage Risk/Action List and meeting minutes 
Check and ensure quality of engineering deliverables
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or similar
Master’s degree is preferred
3+ years of automotive systems validation engineering experience 
Minimum 2 years of working experience on writing test scenarios based on ISO 26262 functional safety test techniques 
Experience with automation scripting (e.g. Python, CAPL, C etc.) 
Experience with automotive protocols e.g. CAN, LIN, xCP etc
Experience on Vector or similar tools 
Experience with automotive diagnostics protocols like UDS, and KWP 2000 
Ability to debug HIL issues and set-up HIL for testing 
Proficient with Vector and automation test Tools 
Business fluent in written and verbal English
Working experience on test automation for automotive Electronic Controller Units 
Expert in C or any other scripting language 
Strong evidence of success in problem solving and troubleshooting  
2 years of working experience on Camera and Radar technologies 
Working experience on OxTS RT/RT Range or similar tools
