GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Works under minimal supervision.

· An understanding of all Front-End processes and machinery – there operation, maintenance and programming.

· Capable of training Technicians, Engineers and Operators in troubleshooting or advanced operations of automated production equipment.

· knowledge in Router machines.

· knowledge in Robot

· knowledge in PLC Allen Brandley

· knowledge in dispensing machine (glue, conforman)

· Understands and is able to explain how each of the testing processes are performed.

· Understands multi-page schematics and can explain the signal path of several boards from several different test systems.

· Is able to work with phone support in resolving machine issues.

· Capable of collecting & analyzing equipment performance information for use in continuous improvement efforts.

· Capable of creating electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams or schematics as required.

· Review’s engineering notes, drawings, process instructions or control guidelines for accuracy and recommends improvements prior to release.

· Capable and Experience of performing repeatability and calibration procedures on equipment.

· Provide technical support for new product launches

· Able to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinates detailed phases of the technician work for part of a major project or an entire project of moderate scope (i.e., project management)

· Utilize the following equipment in the troubleshooting and repair process: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, hand and power tools, soldering/de-soldering equipment and environmental ovens.

· Able to follow technical policies/procedures preventive maintenance, lockout/tag-out

· Follow the Training Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Procedures.

· Comply with and support the Health, Safety and Environmental programs, policies and procedures. Observe all safety rules to avoid injury to themselves and others.

· Perform other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

· AS Technical degree in related field with 2 years related experience; or High School Diploma or GED with 5 years’ experience; or BS technical degree in related field with 1-year related experience; or 2 years

· Possess ability to read & understand electrical/electronic schematics, theory of mechanical dimensions/tolerances, design, materials, and packaging fundamentals

· Good communication, math, and computer skills

· Ability to service machinery in such a way to avoid damage to capital equipment, tools, or production line product

· Be proficient in the safe use of basic machine shop equipment and handheld power tools (Voltmeter, Amp Meter, Continuity)

· Ability to understand and use Electronic, Electro-Mechanical and Pneumatic schematics or mechanical drawings to resolve various performance deficiencies

· Understanding of basic mechanics, pneumatics, and electrically controlled machinery as used in an automated production environment

· Medium level understanding of all Surface Mount Technology processes to include paste, glue, reflow, cure and standard component packages

· Medium level understanding Mechanical disassembly and assemblies

· Ability to utilize critical thinking skills as applied to root-cause troubleshooting and analysis

· High understanding of Automation process (Robotics, vision systems, sensors)

· Previous experience in the practical application of equipment predictive and preventative maintenance is desired

· Ability to update and maintain on-line machine reference documents and technical procedures is desired

· Proven demonstration of high electrical/electronic aptitude

· Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to utilize computing software (i.e. MS Word, MS
