Position Summary: The Sr. Financial Analyst – Project Controller is responsible to coordinate and control the project within the OP plan. Execute profitability calculations (ProfitCalc); collaboration with the Product Lines and Regions. Can perform a project-based steering of the business. Support feasibility studies for new plant projects and conduct analysis for cost deviations. 


Position Responsibilities: 

•    Coordinate and control project(s) to ensure milestone and financial target are achievable.
•    Support and execution of product-/project-based profitability calculations (ProfitCalc) and alignment of the results with the respective stakeholders (e.g. PL-heads, project core teams etc.)
•    Collection, monitoring and performance of plausibility checks for all input data of profitability calculations including data from ZF internal suppliers.
•    Creation of deviation analyses (e.g. compared to previous profitability versions, compared to OP etc.) incl. identification of main deviation drivers and definition of improvement measures
•    Preparation and support for cost reduction workshops and customer negotiations
•    Economic evaluations within the context of MaB investigations (make-and-buy) and commercial support for (technical) change processes.
•    Working closely with project management to secure the project is successfully implemented.
•    Support and potentially independently present the results of the economic feasibility studies to the respective audience and committees (e.g. Project Core Team, Divisional Controlling).
•    Monitor the project (result, cost/prices, economic feasibility) with the work package managers.  Support PL in the coordination.
•    Proactively evaluate risks (signals) and initiate action items.
•    Prepare decision proposals and develop recommended actions after alignment.
•    Identify and display cost deviations to the project plan.
•    Conduct economic feasibility studies for hybrid applications and system projects.
•    Calculate product costs within acquisition and determine economic feasibility.
•    Calculate product cost within acquisition rationalization measures and project demands.
•    Calculate in-house production parts and develop calculations for make-or-buy analysis.
•    Cooperate closely with the project leaders and teams to track the project cost and change management.
•    Present and explain results of economic feasibility studies to plant.  BU-Management, project Core Team, and BU-Controlling.  


Essential Skills and Experience:

•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Strong finance background/experience in Project Controlling
•    More than 5 years of Analytical and Controlling Experience
•    Good communication skills towards all levels of organization 
•    Team player being able to cooperate with different functions and departments across various product lines and regions.
•    Prior experience in Project Controlling/Project Calculations/Calculation methods
•    Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze and interpret data with appropriate analysis as required.
•    Takes action to identify and remedy unexpected trends/issues in a timely manner and when appropriate escalates to management. 
•    Excellent organizational skills
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in a technical environment.
•    Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
•    English language competency.
