Simulation Engineer

We are looking to hire a Simulation Engineer to join our team at Monterrey.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the development of ZF products (with customer/product/activity specifications) through calculations and simulations, such as electromagnetic simulation, according to applicable internal regulations,  for electronic components (such as, electrical machines/e-motors) used in powertrain systems under development.
  • Electromagnetic simulation for electrical machines, especially for novel concepts.
  • Collaborate with development team in design and advanced development of the electrical machines.
  • Collaborate with development team in system development for the e-driveline systems, consisting of power electronics, gearboxs and e-machines.
  • Participation in interdisciplinary teams for overall system, EMC, acoustics and thermals as well as support for projects with academic partners and suppliers.
  • Support the development of ZF products (with customer/product/activity specifications) through calculations and simulations according to applicable internal regulations (e.g. Engineering Service Process Directive PD15.414.102)

 

Requirements:

• Experience in the Automotive and/or Electronics industries

• Master’s Degree in electrical engineering and information technology or comparable.
• 5 – 6 years of experience in the technical field (simulation).
• Expertise in Electric Driveline Technology and Materials Technology
• Experience in the simulation of electric motors (ANSYS or similar)
• Programming knowledge (Matlab, Python, or similar) as well as basic knowledge in Creo 4.0 and the SAP PDM system.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Experience with simulation software
• Familiarity with Data Acquisition Systems, Data Analysis, and Data Processing
• English language competency – both oral and written, SAP and/or Axalant
• Experience with Microsoft® Project and requirements management using DOORS.
