About the team:

We are a team of seven Commodity Buyers based in Monterrey, working within a Shared Service Center for ZF, a German manufacturing company. Our focus is on direct purchasing activities, specifically for castings, supporting plants across North America. As a collaborative and dynamic team, we strive for excellence in supplier management, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing.

What you can look forward to as Intern - Castings Commodity Purchasing:

• Support the Commodity Purchasing team in operational and strategic tasks related to castings.
• Assist in supplier communication, RFQs, and data analysis for sourcing decisions.
• Participate in cost analysis and benchmarking activities.
• Collaborate with buyers and cross-functional teams across North American plants.
• Gain hands-on experience with SAP and procurement tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.

Your Profile as Intern - Castings Commodity Purchasing:

• Currently pursuing a degree in International Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong interest in procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Availability for a full-time internship (minimum 1 year preferred).
