We are looking for a ZF IT colleague to join our Service Center IT Operation (WIO) - Support Center Global IT Backdesk team (FIIB11), based in our Monterrey location.

 

IT-GSD Production Backdesk Support Engineer

 

Position Summary:

The IT-GSD Production Backdesk Support Engineer will be the primary contact responsible for critical business production applications support as part of the Global Service Desk.  Responsibilities will be focused mainly on, troubleshooting, follow up, escalation and coordination of second and third level support on business-critical issues reported by our production plants globally. Whilst always adhering to the ZF standards, processes, and procedures through daily operational assistance to support and fulfill the requirements of ZF internal customers

 

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide first and backdesk level support for services to ZFs Internal Customers.
  • Monitor ticket system for potential production incidents
  • Frequently communicate to ZFs Internal Customers and IT Management in case of outages.
  • Coordination of resolution activities inside and outside of IT within global teams (ticket ownership)
  • Capture and implement lessons learned and shift2left opportunities
  • Continuous improvement of monitoring, documentation and automated analysis
  • Guarantee Operational Readiness for IT production systems and validate IT Changes regarding possible disturbances

 

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Associate degree, technical certification(s), or equivalent IT experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in IT environment, ideally in IT support
  • 3+ years of experience providing customer support and resolution regarding technical issues
  • General knowledge of ITIL, IT ServiceDesk concepts, best practices, and commonly used procedures
  • Proven analytical abilities in addition to strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a virtual team, into a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams at all levels of personnel and management
  • Customer and service orientation focus.
  • Proficient with oral and written English
  • Ability/willingness to meet flexible schedule arrangements per customer requirements
  • Willingness to be on call during weekend and other times that follow the sun is not possible
