GENERAL SUMMARY: Technician responsible for the physical plant – maintaining the working order of the building and building equipment (not including production equipment). Assist with equipment moves.




· Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.

· Work under direct supervision of supervisors and assigned project coordinators.

· Perform routine facilities work requiring application of standard techniques & procedures using a logical approach.

· Interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, other internal departments.

· Perform lower level decision making in order to enable manufacturing processes to continue.

· Perform prescribed preventive & routine maintenance as assigned.

· Test safety devices as directed.

· Change lamps, ballasts and maintain the facilities lighting.

· Using established procedures complete routine maintenance of the fire suppression system.

· As directed move equipment, including production equipment, office cubicles and furniture.

· Identify malfunctioning equipment. Provide competent feedback regarding malfunctions as required.

· Monitor & inspect equipment ventilation systems.

· Complete predefined daily equipment checks and HSE inspections completing all applicable forms.

· Perform plumbing and cleanup as needed. Repair restroom items, stools, soap dispensers etc.

· Perform emergency recovery activities including resetting primary switchboards or breakers, replacing fuses and restarting facilities infrastructure systems.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S principles in work areas and grounds.

· Interact with contractors, vendors, respond to questions, request services and oversee contractors while maintaining accurate records of related transactions.

· Following procedures weigh and load recycle materials.

· Perform grounds maintenance.

· Perform other duties as assigned




· Hold an Associates of Applied Science Degree or equivalent in a related field.

· 1 year of experience in Industrial Maintenance or related Mechanical field.

· Must be knowledgeable of and able to operate hand and portable power tools such as pipe threaders, saws, drills, and pipe benders.

· Must be available to work various shifts & overtime.

· Highly Understand the concepts of electricity, Pneumatic, Hydraulic & Mechanical

· Must be aware and concerned about personal safety.

· Have basic knowledge of air compressors up to and including 200 hp units, also vacuum system, fire sprinkler systems and controls.

· Possess a fundamental understanding of automated equipment.




· Operation of computer, keyboard, mouse.

· While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear.

· Must be able to work outdoors, may include inclement weather.

· Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, bend, crouch or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 Kilos

· Work in scissor lifts and off of ladders at various heights.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
