Configuration Management Analyst

Position Description:

  • This individual will be responsible for processing engineering changes and releases into the PLM system. This includes analyzing requests, auditing changes and monitoring outstanding engineering work items.

Responsibilities:

  • Process change requests in the PLM system, this includes i.e. analyzing product documentation for consistency of information, assessing interchangeability, routing for approval, auditing
  • Coordinate change requests with product engineering and other functional groups
  • Monitor change releases to ensure timely incorporation into production
  • Participate in meetings requiring configuration management input, create and update documents, and verify accuracy of product structures in PLM
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for successful production builds
  • Interacts with various manufacturing sites to make sure components for final product builds are properly released
  • Provide PLM support to product teams on process / tool
  • Communicate with ZF teams across the globe

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree and/or 2+ years of professional-level engineering/analysis experience (internship/co-op experience incl.) encompassing one or more of the following areas: manufacturing analysis/planning, product design/development, and/or program/launch management
  • Experience in the administration of changes & good knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems, preferred Windchill
  • Ability to understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
  • Very good English communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent organizational skills
