ADAS Algorithm Engineering Lead

ZF is looking to hire an ADAS Algorithm Engineering Lead to join our team at our state of the art R&D center located in Monterrey Mexico.



  • Lead the Algorithm Team responsible for the developmentof ADAS and Automated Driving algorithms in pre-development and series projects
  • Train and mentor new Algorithm Team members intechnical areas of algorithm development, as well as ZFdevelopment process
  • Support with the creation and maintenance of roadmapsand plans for the development for automated drivingfunctions and algorithms
  • Support in defining Key Performance Indicators (KPI) forevaluating algorithms and functions
  • Support and guide team on requirements management,with the definition of strategies for software tests as well aswith the preparation of test scenarios  
  • Foster and support inter department communication andproject alignment  
  • Management of the Algorithm Change Control Board forresponsible aspects and drive continuous improvementprocesses  
  • Presentations to customers on technical aspects ofalgorithms and functions 
  • Support strategic planning of algorithm organization
  • Budget planning and execution of local algorithm costcenter
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Experience in function development, especially modelbased development for lateral and longitudinal vehiclecontrol functions, as well as warning functions
  • Experience in automotive camera algorithm development,especially camera-based functions
  • Proven track record of launching algorithms formass production
  • Experience in the development of Radar Signal ProcessingSoftware / Detection and Perception Algorithms / Radarbase functions  
  • Experience in state of the art (automotive) computer visionalgorithm and computer vision-based functions
  • Experience in development and / ormanagement of algorithm development for driverassistance systems or automated driving functions
  • Experience in project or team management, algorithm andfunction development, software engineering and softwarevehicle integration for development and demonstrationpurposes
  • Goal orientated, structured way of working, interculturalcompetence
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English
