Purchasing Intern

We are looking for a new intern in our Program Purchasing Department at our location in Marysville, MI!

Position Summary:  

Responsible to complete a project that benefits the ZF Marysville plant as well as some administrative work.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for updating surcharges in SAP
• Responsible to control, monitor and maintain all aspects of the supplier assessment program used for sourcing decisions at ZF
• Work directly with suppliers to obtain certificates and update Supplier Questionnaires
• Update purchasing report including monthly MPV update
• Assist in various departmental projects and reports where needed
   

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be local to Marysville, MI area or willing to regularly commute.
• Must have excellent computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a cross-functional team environment
• Good written, communication, organizational and detail-orientated skills
• Effective English communications skills - verbal and written
   

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

• This position is required to do extensive walking through factory environment production areas.
• Must be able to occasionally travel out of state. Required to lift and carry up to 20 lbs, sit, bend, and stoop and use fine motor skills to handle physical parts.
