About the Position

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Production Supervisor leads frontline production teams and ensures that daily operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This role is responsible for staffing and scheduling, training and coaching employees, conducting performance reviews, and consistently administering plant policies while fostering strong employee relations. The supervisor drives productivity, quality, and cost performance, identifying opportunities for process or equipment improvements and supporting the development of standard work instructions. Accountable for meeting departmental goals, the Production Supervisor ensures that all products meet required specifications and labor standards while cultivating a positive, high‑performing team environment.

 

What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor:  

  • Leading a team of ~25+ employees, overseeing performance, training, scheduling, and adherence to policies and labor agreements. 
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment while ensuring strong floor presence and proper use of equipment. 
  • Applying problem solving tools (5 Whys, 8D, A3, root cause analysis) to resolve production, quality, safety, and employee issues. 
  • Driving productivity, quality, cost control, safety, and morale while promoting continuous improvement and lean practices. 
  • Coaching, developing, and motivating employees; manages conflict resolution, discipline, attendance, and employee relations. 
  • Overseeing daily operations, including workflow, material flow, cycle times, audits, TPM/EPM coordination, and shop floor boards. 
  • Conducting meetings, communicates goals and progress, and prepares action plans and performance reports for management. 
  • Using Microsoft Office and plant systems to manage labor reporting, scheduling, timekeeping, and production documentation.

 

Your Profile as Production Supervisor:

  • High School diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, and ability to supervise, motivate, and oversee employee hiring, retention, performance review and discipline. 
  • Ability to plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results. 
  • Proven ability to measure goals, and balance and achieve positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations. 
  • Must be continuous improvement, quality, and detail-oriented and have ability to use company systems. 
  • Demonstrate ability in problem analysis and resolution. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.

  • This position is required to do extensive walking through factory environment production areas. 
  • Required to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds. 
  • Must be able to kneel, pull, push, carry, twist, bend, forward reach and reach above shoulder level on an occasion. 
  • Required to frequently sit, stoop, and stand continuously. 
  • Required to use fine and gross motor skills, firm hand gripping, and repetition to handle physical parts. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. 
  • Must be able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal range; includes the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound. 
  • Environmental exposures may include dust, fumes, odors, loud noises, and chemicals.
