We are looking for a new colleague in the Operations Department at our location in Marshall, IL.

Responsibilities:

Determines and administers supply chain policies relating to shipping/receiving, storage and Inventory control of a variety of equipment, supplies, direct and indirect materials/spare parts

Directs the receipts, storage and delivery of inventory in the plant; leadership of inventory process on regularly scheduled basis and provides leadership to meet inventory targets

Monitor obsolescence of inventory and make recommendations regarding disposition
-
Implement production control systems consistent with lean materials flow systems, including pull systems, kanban, line side delivery, and level scheduling
-
Continue to support the use of SAP, utilizing overall ERP knowledge to leverage greater functionality and output
-
Set goals, coach and hold accountable materials direct reports
-
Coach and encourage direct reports to benchmark and implement material best practices to promote continuous improvement
-
Develop and implement a plan to reduce freight costs
-
Develop and implement effective corrective actions when materials issues are identified
-
Responsible for the materials management function relating to the distribution of materials and products
-

Responsible for the materials management function relating to the distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements

Manages the onsite warehouse, as well as any off-site material storage locations
-
Provides for the development and implementation of inventory control systems to maintain and tracks the status of purchase order, inventory levels and production requirements
-
Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to manufacturing sequences and lead times
-
Manage production launch and phase out reviews to ensure production plans are in place to meet customer deliverables while minimizing obsolescence associated with finished goods and work-in-process
-
Responsible for customer On-Time-Delivery metrics and corrective actions ensuring all customer delivery concerns are addressed in a timely manner

Manage pre-production prototype allocation requests (PPAR’s) for external customer builds
-
Manage Work-In-Process and attend production staff meetings to ensure production variances are reviewed and corrected to meet operational inventory goals

Perform other duties as assigned

Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree
-
Demonstrated experience in motivating and mentoring employees and meeting business objectives.
-
Demonstrated problem resolution skills i.e., 7D, 5P, 5-why etc.
-
Independently drive continuous improvement projects.
-
Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
-
Minimum 5 years experience in warehousing or logistics.
-
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
-
Typing and computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and SAP.
-
Organizational and time management skills.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis.
