Shipping Associate

About the Team

Shipping Associates are responsible for a variety of functions within the Shipping Department, including inventory storage, order picking, final product packaging, and loading shipments onto carrier vehicles. Additionally, they perform critical administrative and operational tasks such as order processing in SAP and inventory auditing. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you can look forward to as a Shipping Associate:

• Request and receive raw materials from suppliers - unload trucks, break apart skids of materials, stock shelves
• Ensure lot traceability – scan and record bar codes
• Monitor security as it pertains to delivery drivers
• Ensure proper labeling of lots and shipments
• Prepare Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs); monitor for accuracy
• Stock shelves from bulk skids of materials
• Load skids of finished goods to exacting customer requirements
• Process significant amount of SAP transactions; create complete receiving and shipping transactions
• Maintain finished goods inventory / temporary storage prior to shipment
• Receive returnable containers and return them to inventory
• Receive after hours Customer requests for shipping exceptions
• Use customer’s software ie. SAMRT, DDL, Honda Delta, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures

Your profile as a Shipping Associate:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an active driver’s license
• Two or more years relevant experience
• Proficient with ensuring lot traceability
• Previous [barcode] scanning experience
• Operate tow motor and maintain required licensing
• Good organization skills with the ability to handle many things at once; good record keeping
• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
• Good basic math skills
• Communication and telephone skills
• Able to work overtime as scheduled

The expected base compensation for this role is $18.00 - $22.76 hourly.  Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
