Production Scheduler

Responsibilites:

  • Review internal and external customer requirements and schedule appropriate production.
  • Develop capacity plans for production.
  • Generate a component BOM (build of materials) check of daily production plan to ensure part availability.
  • Assist in monthly plant wide cycle counts for sub-assembled components.
  • Identify and resolve SAP backflush issues and midline production reporting issues.
  • Reconcile inventory errors and shortages.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory accuracy and audit production order reporting.
  • Effectively prioritize and complete production scheduling activities including entering production orders, scheduling, capacity planning, inventory control, on-time delivery and customer service interface.
  • Complete root cause analysis as it relates to scheduling and shipping issues.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing to schedule prototype, pre-production builds and equipment upgrades/maintenance
  • Maintain SAP database relevant to production scheduling.
  • Comply with and supports the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in the tracking of finished goods and WIP to meet future shipments

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with 5 years of production scheduling/customer service experience; Associates degree with 3 year of production scheduling/customer service experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 1 year of production scheduling/customer service experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding and utilization of the ERP, SAP and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • APICS certification preferred.
