Material Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Material Analyst to join our team in Marshall, IL!  This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies

The expected base compensation for this role is $56,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.  Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

What you can look forward to as a Material Analyst:

• Responsible for supplier specific material planning.
• Expedite material shortages and provide purchasing support.
• Generate supplier trackers for hot components.
• Monitor supplier performance for on time delivery.
• Manage material support for product launch activities.
• Monitor supplier capacity analysis.  
• Reduce RAW material on hand for every month end.
• Resolve price and quantity discrepancies on inbound receipts.  
• Reduce inbound/outbound premium freight.
• Address carrier delivery issues for inbound/outbound material.
• Act as Liaison between Materials group and off-site warehouses.
• Attend morning production meetings.

Your profile as a Material Analyst:

• Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of four years of experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management; or an Associates degree in a related field with a minimum of seven years’ experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management; or a high school diploma with ten years of experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & V-lookup).
• Automotive industry experience.
• Experience using SAP.
• APICS certification is a plus
• Exceptional data entry skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
