RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Capable of troubleshooting mechanical & electrical systems – read schematics, use of multimeter.
  • Capable of troubleshooting PLC & Robotics controls – understands programming logic, teaching points.
  • Conducts basic tests or analysis on production equipment to determine operability.  Applies standard troubleshooting techniques to determine and correct for malfunctions.
  • Tooling – Safe use of power tools to fabricate non-precision parts i.e. sensor brackets, etc.
  • Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Familiar with and can follow PLCs, control programs.  Can establish communications with PLC, run programming software to identify errors
  • Tooling – Use mill, lathe, drill press to fabricate non-precision parts ie. scanner brackets
  • Basic troubleshooting of electrical systems – locate shorts in wiring; using multimeter to check continuity, power, and phases; use of amp probe
  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED  with 4 years, or AS technical degree with 2 years of experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
