Final Assembly Machine Technician

  • Works under general or limited supervision.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
  • May orient, train, assign and check the work of lower level employees.
  • Identifies machine and process deficiencies, and leads cross-functional teams to resolve them
  • Researches and implements continuous improvement opportunities and provides technical data and cost / benefit models to improve and control manufacturing processes.
  • Independently leads assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.  Provides technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and gains approval on proposed plans for completion of projects.
  • Project Management to include planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of broad-scope projects
  • Provides data to assist in the development of departmental budgets for capital expenditures, life-cycle studies and spare parts inventory management
  • Analyze data to identify trends in machine performance ie modify PM cycles, machine optimization
  • Compiles and analyzes engineering data; may analyze test and design data and prepare proposal reports
  • Researches, develops and documents repeatability and calibration procedures.

 

  • AS technical degree in related field with 5 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment; or High School Diploma or GED with 10 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment
