About the Team:
Facility Technicians are responsible for the physical plant – maintaining the working order of the building and building equipment (not including production equipment) and assisting with equipment moves.
What you can look forward to as a Facility Technician:
- Independently evaluates, selects, and applies higher-level troubleshooting techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for continuous product/process improvement.
- Performs work from specifications, drawings, sketches, and instruction to review electrical loads, define electrical required electrical materials and install electrical equipment.
- Performs non-routine technical assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
- Performs work that involves common types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of the technician work, including mathematical and statical calculations, for part of a major project or an entire project of moderate scope (i.e., project management)
- Perform preventative maintenance on building and facility equipment with a focus on electrical circuits and panels.
- Contributes to medium-level planning and strategy development to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Establishes and maintains a cost conscience relationship with vendors and suppliers. Maintaining accurate records of all quotes and purchase transactions.
- Move equipment, including production equipment, office cubicles and furniture.
- Perform plumbing and cleanup as needed. Repair restroom items, stools, soap dispensers etc.
- Have working knowledge of HVAC equipment.
- Make general to moderate electrical repairs, such as running new conduit, pulling wire to boxes and panels.
- Work in lifts at ceiling heights of 16 to 18 feet, as well as on roof and the top of the cooling towers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S principles in work areas and grounds.
- Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your profile as a facility technician:
- A High School Diploma or GED with 7 years related experience; or AS technical degree in related field with 2 years’ experience; or BS technical degree with 1-year related experience.
- 1 year experience in Industrial Maintenance or related mechanical field.
- Hold valid driver’s license.
- Must be knowledgeable of and able to operate portable power tools such as pipe threaders/benders, saws and drills.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed.
- Electrical certification/license preferred and knowledgeable in electrical compliance (OSHA, NEC, etc.).
- Have basic knowledge of air compressors up to and including 200 hp units, vacuum system, fire sprinkler systems, HVAC equipment and controls.

The expected base compensation for this role is $18.00 - $31.35 hourly. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
