CIM Technician II

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide first level computer support to all CIM systems on the production floor to include:

-                                   Installing computer cable for equipment moves

                            User network administration

-                                   Implementation and maintenance of Trace System

  • Works under direct supervision and selects from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Perform routine technician work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out sequence of related technician tasks.
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of automated manufacturing process.
  • Performs lower level decision making in order to enable manufacturing processes to continue.
  • Performs prescribed preventive maintenance activities, basic and routine maintenance as assigned.
  • Performs Cisco switch configurations.
  • Assists in maintaining the Lean Manufacturing 5S principles for CIM systems.
  • Document all CIM support issues in a software database to measure service quality
  • Assist in maintaining the Lean Manufacturing 5S principles for CIM systems
  • Position may rotate with other CIM Technicians on other shifts
  • Position requires physical exertion to adequately perform CIM Technician responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 0-1 year experience and AS degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Must be willing to work Friday-Sunday nights.
  • Experience with installing Ethernet Network Topologies - routers, switches, cable installation, etc.
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing preferred
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting PCs, barcode printers, and barcode scanners
