Because ZF Wind Power keeps on growing, we are looking for a Senior Noise & Vibration Engineer, to join our Technology team in our headquarters in Lommel.
What you can look forward to as Senior Noise & Vibration Engineer:
- Taking an important role in Noise & Vibration engineering for wind turbine gearboxes and drivetrains
- Developing and analyzing dynamic drivetrain models using MBS and FEM methodologies
- Performing vibration and acoustic assessments to identify risks and define effective countermeasures
- Driving innovation through simulation-based development and validation with test data
- Being involved in the co-engineering with suppliers and other internal departments
Your profile as Senior Noise & Vibration Engineer:
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a strong interest in dynamics, vibrations and gears, a PhD in a related field is considered as a strong asset
- Proven experience in the field of Noise & Vibration of gearboxes, initial experience within the wind energy industry is a plus
- Knowledge of NVH engineering principles, including modal analysis, order analysis and gear excitation mechanisms
- Analytical and hands-on mindset, capable of translating simulation and measurement data into actionable engineering improvements and guidelines
- Proactive, with a structured approach and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
- Fluent in English, Dutch is an advantage
