Job Description

What you will do:

  1. You support the HSE Manager with regard to the Health, Safety and Environmental policy at ZF Lommel;
  2. You act as the right hand of the HSE Manager and you replace him in case of absence or by delegation, mainly with regard to HSE topics;
  3. With your expertise, you support the proper functioning of the Internal Service for Prevention and Protection at Work (IDPBW);
  4. Based on ZF's general strategy, you will contribute to the health and risk prevention policy, and you will help shape the annual action plans and the global prevention plan;
  5. You develop projects on substantive HSE themes, and on the basis of this you draw up recommendations and develop measures, with the aim of continuously improving the HSE policy and involving employees in the policy;
  6. You are responsible for drafting, updating and implementing procedures and guidelines, in line with current legislation on health, safety, environment and well-being at work;
  7. You represent your department with regard to HSE themes in various meetings in the company and prepare them;
  8. You are responsible for raising awareness and coaching the internal managers and employees of the production with regard to HSE themes, and create a safety culture;
  9. You select and supervise the external partners, mainly with regard to HSE training, inspections and permits;
  10. You carry out task risk analyses and keep them up to date;
  11. You analyse occupational accidents, incidents and dangerous situations and take appropriate measures with your department to minimise them;
  12. You report to the HSE Manager, who is ultimately responsible for the HSE policy.

 

Profile:

  1. In possession of a Prevention Advisor level 2 or 1 certificate;
  2. Knowledge of Vlarem legislation or being in possession of the environmental coordinator certificate (A or B) is a strong plus;
  3. You have a strong technical background;
  4. Experience in an industrial production environment;
  5. Thinking and acting skills at bachelor level;
  6. Strong communicators in contacts with management, employees, social partners, inspection services and customers;
  7. Fluent language proficiency in Dutch and English, thorough MS Office knowledge;
  8. Proactive attitude, ability to take initiative, persuasiveness;
  9. Able to work in a dynamic and demanding environment.
