About the team:
We are looking for a new colleague in our Vehicle Garage at our location in Livonia, MI! The Chassis Solutions Division of ZF North America offers application specific solutions for a variety of different automotive Steering, Braking, Suspension and Chassis Components. Continued growth in our Livonia, MI office has created an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team!
What you can look forward to as a Vehicle Technician:
- Performing brake component installation and repair on various prototype vehicles
- Assist engineers during installation and transfer of test measurement equipment.
- Support customer vehicle demonstrations as required.
- Assist with delivery or procurement of winter test supplies on a limited basis.
- Interface and communicate with both internal and external customers on technical matters.
- Maintain appropriate engineering procedures throughout the product development process to achieve engineering deliverables which include cost, reliability and manufacturing objectives.
- Provide assistance with facility maintenance on a limited basis.
Your profile as a Vehicle Technician:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or Automotive Certifications preferred.
- Valid driver license required with CDL preferred.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of vehicle brake systems required.
- Basic computer and vehicle instrumentation skills required.
- Vehicle test training will be provided during orientation as well as “on the job” training including health & safety procedures.
