Key Account Manager NAFTA FCA Commercial Vehicles

We are looking for a new colleague in the Key Account Management Department at our location in Metro Detroit. The position holder is preferably located in either Northville or Livonia, MI.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business development and account management for all ZF Commercial Vehicle (CV) products (Powertrain, Chassis, Steering, Electronics, etc.) and services with FCA CV account in North America
  • Lead acquisition activities and coordinate work on RFI/RFQ packages with all relevant departments involved
  • Support and implement long-term business strategies to achieve the ZF CV Division short-term and long-term goals with FCA account
  • Closely cooperate and support Product Lines to ensure program implementation progress is on schedule, within budget and according to relevant guidelines
  • Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies for FCA CV account in North America
  • Define and realize customer targets according to strategic and operative business planning
  • Responsible for customer relationship management across customer function and organization levels
  • Coordinate, prepare and execute customer meetings and events
  • Lead negotiation of commercial agreements for the ZF CV Division product portfolio
  • Observe market development to determine customer needs, technology trends, volume potentials, market pricing, competitors’ activities and general industry trends

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering discipline (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience in the Commercial Vehicle or Automotive industries
  • Experience in discrete customer account management with major global OEMs
  • Professional in drivetrain technology and respective sales know-how
  • High volume automotive industry experience with proven success achieving business development in regards to sales and profitable growth, ideally including experience in selling commercial vehicle products 
  • Highly self-motivated with strong management, leadership and relationship building skills
  • Located close to key customer contacts and decision makers, frequent domestic travel required
  • German language experience preferred
  • Interdisciplinary project management experience preferred
  • Experience working with Commercial Vehicle / Trucking industry in North American market preferred
  • Know-how in electrified drivetrain technology as well as chassis, steering and electronics vehicle technology preferred
