About the Team

Join a collaborative Test Engineering team focused on validating and improving advanced commercial vehicle steering and transmission technologies. Working in a hands-on laboratory and vehicle testing environment, you'll support product development through testing, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions to customers.

 

 

What you can look forward to as Test Technician:

  • Assemble/disassemble) products for customer samples and test samples; perform steering system and transmission retrofits into Commercial Vehicle (CV) trucks; maintain machine tools, test machines, and test vehicles.
  • Set up and conduct tests for product validation, quality audit, warranty analysis, line-return analysis, and other special requests from Product Engineering.
  • Responsible for on-vehicle evaluations including installation of our product onto vehicles as well as instrumentation installation. Several re-installations may be required depending on the test results for development projects.
  • Provide routine machine maintenance of machine tools and test machines and keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Develop a background of knowledge and understanding of engineering practices based on ongoing substantial training and acquired experience. Meet testing timelines for urgent test projects. This may require overtime at short notice.
  • Provide daily work log updates and relevant data uploads to the computerized laboratory information tracking systems.

 

 

Your Profile as Test Technician: 

  • High School diploma and a minimum of 5 years working in an engineering environment or Associate Degree in EET, MET or related field with 2 years of experience in an engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with machining, ability to read blueprints, ability to use measuring equipment and strong mechanical aptitude required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, CDL Class A license (and any required valid medical card or other endorsements) within the first 6 months required.
  • Experience with automotive/trucking communication links (SAE J1939, SAE J1587), CANape, CANalyzer, MOBiDIG, EEPROM, Testman, Bach Box preferred.
  • Experience with electronic equipment and test control programming is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to travel as necessary, up to 10% of the time, internatlonal and domestic.
