What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer: 

  • Work at ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Steering Systems Plant in Lafayette, Indiana
  • Facilitate the development, modification, loading, archiving, debugging, and maintenance of software updates on all “program driven” equipment
  • Responsible for automation design, programming, build, install, start-up and validation of process/packaging/industrial control systems
  • Contribute to the cost estimating, design, procurement, installation, and debugging of tooling, equipment and systems used in manufacturing processes
  • Improve overall processes and related issues including the following: process development, creating process documentation, production processing, problem solving and project management

 

Your Profile as a Manufacturing Engineer: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
  • 5-6+ years of Engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively within various levels of the organization required
  • Experience with PLC - 5, Control Logics/RS Logics 500 & 5000 and HMI - RS View ME/SE/Panel View a plus
  • Vision and Robotic experience a plus
