Key Account Manager NAFTA PACCAR Commercial Vehicles

We are looking for a new colleague in the Key Account Management Department at our location in Lafayette, Indiana.

 

Responsibilities

  • ZF customer approach is based on dedicated customer teams. This position leads the PACCAR North America customer team and is responsible for the definition and execution of the specific customer strategy
  • Accountable for delivering planned sales and for achieving acquisition and profitability targets
  • The Key Account Manager (KAM) is the highest escalation level for an OEM before reaching Divisional Management
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with PACCAR North America (This position owns the specific customer relationship and drives ZF’s strategy, sharing jointly agreed targets and responsibilities with Product Line (PL) heads)
  • Together with the team of Account Managers, lead all sales activities with respect to PACCAR (NA) including quoting, scorecard management, pricing management, internal issue management and communication (delivery, quality, etc.)
  • Build and develop a robust customer relationship with reliable customer insight
  • Is responsible for a ‘living’ and ‘actionable’ North America PACCAR strategy and for the identification of strategic business opportunities (must-win-targets)
  • Accountable for delivering planned sales and for achieving profitability targets
  • Ensure ZF content per vehicle is maximized by creating robust cross-PL battle plans for identified business opportunities
  • Ensure and promote continuous interaction with ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Technology Division (Division T) stakeholders along with ZF Corporate Functions and Division Leaders
  • In conjunction with the Global Pricing Manager, analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, operating and sales margins and evaluate price relationships between products in order to develop reports, procedures and tools for pricing and quoting
  • Implement a very structured approach to customer management (i.e., Account Management Planning and Development), along with developing and managing battle plans as appropriate

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or similar field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 15 years of account management and sales experience within the Commercial Vehicle industry in North America
  • Highly strategic thinking – strong business understanding/acumen
  • Solid rolodex of industry relationships
  • Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally (finance, planning, marketing) to accomplish sales objective
  • MRP system experience preferred
