About The Team

We are looking for a new colleague Supplier Development Engineer, who specalized in Mechatronical supplier development and management, for our Division Aftermarket, at our location of Kunshan, China. 

What you can look forward to as SDE - Mechatronics:

• Supplier Capability Development: Lead initiatives to assess and enhance supplier capabilities in alignment with the company’s current and future business needs. Focus on enabling and uplifting suppliers rather than merely evaluating compliance or disqualifying them. Act as a strategic partner to drive continuous improvement.
• Strategic Supplier Management: Identify and develop key suppliers based on business priorities, supporting the introduction of new technologies and innovation. Provide technical and managerial input in supplier selection, onboarding, and phase-out processes to ensure alignment with long-term company goals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Program Management teams to ensure supplier performance throughout all project phases. Engage early in product development to help suppliers understand technical requirements and proactively prepare resources.
• Quality and Risk Management. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement preventive and corrective actions to ensure supplier stability in quality, delivery, and compliance. Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation at suppliers, driving systemic improvements.
• Support the Other tasks assigned by the leader.

Your Profile as SDE - Mechatronics:

• Bachelor or higher education, preferred in mechatronics, electronics, electromechanics and other engineering majors. 
• Good knowledge of various manufacturing processes, such as: machining/assembly/welding/heat treatment and so on. Min 5 years supplier management experience in the Auto part field. 
• Familiar with quality system such as ISO/IATF 16949. Expert of quality management tools such as APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP.
• Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management and proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment. Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing techniques, has problem-solving skills, and strong sense of continuous improvement.
• English: Fluent in oral and written, also native in Chinese.
• Flexible for extensive travels.
