About the Team

Join the Engineering Region China (BWGA2) team, supporting the development and release of mechanical and mechatronic products across the APAC region. 

What you can look forward to as Product Engineer:

• Lead the development, validation, and release of mechanical and mechatronic products for the APAC market.
• Review engineering drawings, conduct sample measurements, coordinate testing activities, and prepare product release documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ZF technical specifications and support product validation and approval processes.
• Track project progress, monitor corrective actions, and drive closure of open issues resulting from design reviews.
• Review and approve engineering change requests and supplier drawing modifications.
• Support DFMEA and PFMEA reviews to ensure robust product and process quality.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams including Sales, Quality, Purchasing, and Product Management.
• Collaborate with suppliers, global competency centers, and OEM engineering teams while supporting supplier audits and new supplier assessments.

Your Profile as Product Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechatronic Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive product development, preferably within mechatronic products.
• Experience with sensors, solenoid valves, e-compressors, EPB actuators, electric motors, e-water pumps, or similar automotive systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of product design, materials, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and measurement/testing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and engineering change management.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering-related documentation systems.
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese communication skills, with willingness to travel approximately 20%.
