About the Team

We are currently expanding our innovation team and looking for new innovators joining us in Shanghai and Jinan. As innovation hub in APAC for commercial transport, product innovation APAC is developing the differentiation and breakthrough technology solutions with strong customer value in the domains of A (ADAS and AD) C (Connectivity) and E (Electrification) for future business growth.

What you can look forward to as a System Engineer Innovation

• Generate innovative ideas according to customer pain points, long term requirements, legislation mandates and/or emerging market needs. Develop relevant systems in ACE domain (ADAS, digital solution, electrification) and demonstrate the technical feasibility
• Analyze use-cases and application scenarios, create functional and system requirements
• Design functional prototypes, build prototypes, validate the developed concepts with prototypes by performing tests in lab or vehicles
• Document the development results (design, test, system spec, …) and make transfer to serialization per requests
• Build up and implement Innovation Validation Plans (IVP) based on concept study results, risk analysis, internal & external functional analysis etc.
• Support project reviews depending on the project phase
• Generate patents for protection of innovative solutions in close cooperation with Patent Engineer

Your Profile as a System Engineer Innovation:

• Master’s degree or above majored in mechanical / electronic / automotive engineering.
• Minimum 4 years working experience in automotive product engineering, R&D experience in one of areas is advantageous: electric powertrain, braking system, ADAS
• Good knowledge in sensor, signal processing and data analysis
• Good knowledge of vehicle E&E architecture, knowledge of J1939 is a plus
• Demonstrated capability of independent development of a system from idea or concept to prototype validation
