  1. Qualification: Candidate should have bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Automobile engineering or Manufacturing engineering or Industrial production engineering. Post-graduation will be considered as added advantage
  2. Experience: Minimum 5-6 years of experience in new product design and development of Axle, Beam Axles, Transmission Design, Traction Drive, Electric Axle and Casting design
  3. Industry type: Automotive OEM, Auto Ancillaries (Tier 1, Tier 2 category and Design services)
  4. Responsibilities:
  • Experience in New Product Design and New Product Development, Project Management in Automobile / Off road transmission, Axles, Gearboxes and similar Products
  • Knowledge in Analytical calculations / CAE of Mechanical Transmission parts like Housing, Gears, Shaft, Shift System, Beam design etc.
  • Experience/ knowledge in design of Housings / Castings and Forging parts
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling software's like Creo 4
  • Sound knowledge of EV & Diesel vehicle rear Axle design, Differential, Brake system support, Manual and Automatic Transmission design, gear design standards for Spur, helical, Bevel gears, planetary gears, steering Rack and Pinion design.
  • Hands on Experience in Root Cause Analysis, Design Quality Tools and Methodologies like Six Sigma etc.
  • Expertise in GD&T / DFMEA / DFM/A/S, Design to Cost and Reliability
  • Experience in working with CAD resources and Trainees
  • Technical Design review of 3D CAD layouts of transmissions.
  • Capable of handling Design Projects individually
  • Expertise in New Product Manufacturing, Sourcing and Quality Processes
  • Experience in Product Validation with Reliability Engineering
